Odoo by default generates delivery labels at the final step of the outbound process. However, if your workflow requires labeling products earlier—such as during the pack phase—you can easily adjust the settings to fit your process.
Here is how to configure it:
- Navigate to:
Inventory > Configuration > Operation Types - Select the operation type where you want to print the label (e.g., Pack).
- Enable the option
Generate Shipping Labels. - Go to the Delivery Orders operation type and disable
Generate Shipping Labels.
And that is it! Now, shipping labels will be generated during the Pack operation instead of the final delivery step.
Tip: Ensure only one operation type has the Generate Shipping Labels option enabled. Otherwise, Odoo will create a new label for every step where this option is active.
