Notify Customers for Completed Deliveries

Notifying customers about their shipped orders and providing tracking details is a crucial part of managing an eShop.

In Odoo, this process can be fully automated. Once a Delivery Order is marked as "Done," an email with the relevant shipping information is sent to the customer automatically.

To enable this feature:

  1. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings > Shipping​.
  2. Enable the Email Confirmation​ setting.

After saving the changes, the system will send an email to the customer when a Delivery Order is completed, including all the necessary details.

The email template used for the notification can be customized. It is named “Shipping: Send by Email” and can be edited under Settings > Technical > Email > Email Templates​.
