Optimizing Odoo Replenishment with Visibility Days and Horizon Options

Products are shown in the Replenishment Dashboard following the just-in-time strategy. This means they are displayed based on forecasted stock values and lead times to ensure the product is delivered to the customer at the promised time.

In some cases, it’s useful for the system to look beyond the immediate future and anticipate upcoming needs. This approach can lead to a more efficient and cost-effective replenishment process.

The Visibility Days option in reordering rules allows the system to extend the forecasted period by a specific number of days (n-days). By configuring this field, you can instruct the system to look ahead and identify any additional needs for the product in the future.

This setting is helpful when there is already a known demand for a product, as it extends the forecasting period specifically for that product.

However, if you want to see all products that may be needed in the near future, you should use the Horizon option. This option extends the replenishment period for n-days and displays the products required during that timeframe.
